Facilities for tourism
Presently only a well-built beautiful farmhouse ( 300m²) comprising of a spacious kitchen, lounge, dining-room, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sunroom and office. The spacious shearing shed and cow shed can be converted into interesting accommodation for hunters and tourists.
Additional information
The beautiful, hilly countryside (hills covered with wild olive trees) and the fact that the farm borders for 17 km onto the nature reserve of the Gariepdam (at places as near as 300m to the edge of the water) makes it outstandingly suitable for tourism purposes. Several of the hills and higher lying areas give an unspoiled view of the Gariepdam and is excellently suited for the building of chalets and other tourism facillities.
Next to the farmhouse is a mud dam that has water for 99% of the time, as well as three strong bore-holes used for irrigation in the past. One of the bore-holes has been tested to deliver at least 18000 gallons per hour.
Presently the farm carries a conservative 350 cows ( capacity to carry 400 cows or 2300 Dorper ewes )
