Potchefstroom Game Park, Resort & Eco Estate on 540ha

1) Wild Animal Park

The Wild Animal Park is a unique wildlife experience right next to the recreational area of Boskop Dam. Potchefstroom is famous for its favourable climate and altitude so athletes from all over the world come here for training purposes.

From the Park it is just a one-hour drive to metropolis Johannesburg, and less than one and a half hour to Tambo International Airport and Pretoria (Tshwane).

The wildlife reserve is 540ha of picturesque nature with dams and a large population of stunning wild animals and beautiful birds that just invite exploration.

The Park also incorporates a fancy and spacious Lodge House in the midst of the bush (approx. 2km to the Country House), containing 8 beds in 4 rooms (all 2 bedroomed) with lounge, dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and a full bathroom with separate toilet. It also incorporates a boma, a lapa and a rugby field in front of the house.

A four-storey, outlook-building is also available on the highest point in the centre of the park. It caters for 50 people to sleep, has a kitchen, bar and party level as well as an outlook equipped with a telescope. Gas-powered warm water facility and bathroom with toilets for males and females are available.

An enchanting romantic Bush Chalet (incl. warm water bathroom) and second separated bedroom on upper floor with magnificent view over valley, dams and game and which is also situated on the highest point of the property.

The park has 7 boreholes of which 6 are equipped with pumps. It has also 3 dams (2 buffer dams and a very large dam).

Indigenous and imported game are kept separated. Also has an electrically equipped lion camp fenced to the Park Board’s standard.

2) The Resort

The Resort consists of a thatched-roof Country House (incl. 6 2-bedroomed, lounge, bar, billiard, large kitchen, 2 dining rooms, one with spacious supper table), four Chalets of which two have thatched roofs (1x10-; 2x6- and 1x4 beds), five of A frame thatched roof Chalets (4 bunk-beds each), a caravan and tent park equipped with water and electric power for each caravan stand and an ablution block for men and women, complete with fully equipped kitchen and laundry.

Furthermore:

A restaurant of 250sqm with HiFi-System and fully equipped kitchen & slaughtering facility.
A cutlery store and a cooler room.
A veranda with concrete tables and benches and a spit braai; with dam and waterfall in front of veranda.
A comprehensively equipped workshop and store with shaded parking area for trucks, tractors (a total of 9 utility vehicles) and farm equipment.
A professionally equipped Conference Centre.
A chapel for marriages.
A spacious Boma with bar.
A thatch-roofed enclosed Lapa with tables and chairs and a big screen.
A big swimming pool incl. waterfall and kiddies pool.
5 separately positioned employees’ duplex houses.
A separated fencing for non-indigenous species.
2 horse sheds.
A thatched-roof dual security entrance/exit gate.
A complete liquor licence.
An all year hunting licence to also cater for foreign hunters.

3) Proposed Land Development

Permission to establish a nature-like land development for 50 stands was granted in July, 2010, of which development recently started.
At final stage, a stand could be sold for estimated 500 000 Rand. The complete development of the stands after installation of services might therefore reach a value of 25 Mil Rand (less the expenditures for installation of services), so that the total profit on the sale of stands could exceed the asking price for all three Titles.
